ABOUT THE SHOW

Back by Popular Demand!

It doesn’t get any better than to hear CSN&Y’s beautiful harmonies, meaningful lyrics and unforgettable melodies performed by three talented, true fans. Add to that the humorous banter between the band members: Grammy Award winning songwriter/producer MARK HUDSON, Hall of Fame songwriter GARY BURR and singer/songwriter MARK MIRANDO, along with the telling of the backstories behind many of the songs, and you’ve got a unique performance that delights the audience. Come see this group of wonderful performers and experience it for yourself.

MORE ABOUT THE MEMBERS:

MARK HUDSON is a Grammy award winning songwriter and producer who has worked with artists such as Ringo Starr, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Harry Nilsson, Cher, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper and Celine Dion.

Mark first came on the scene in a rock band with his brothers, Bill and Brett -- the Hudson Brothers. Their band, deeply influenced by the Beatles, had two top-20 hits, “So You Are A Star” and “Rendezvous” produced by Bernie Taupin for Elton John’s Rocket Records.

In 1974, the Hudson Brothers became Sonny and Cher’s summer replacement on television, which eventually evolved into the Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show, a variety show that mixed music and comedy.

The Brothers enjoyed much success with 7 albums and concert tours worldwide. Mark then went on to learn music production from the legendary Phil Ramone, and began producing and writing songs for a variety of top artists.

In 1992, Phil felt Mark was ready to fly solo while working on Ringo Starr’s Time Takes Time album. Mark went on to produce 8 albums with Ringo including Ringorama, Vertical Man, and Choose Love, to name a few. In 1993, Mark wrote the Grammy winning song, “Livin’on the Edge” for Aerosmith, which went to number one worldwide.

In 2005, Mark was a cast member on the Simon Cowell smash hit, “The X Factor” along with Sharon Osbourne. During his 3 years there, he wrote and produced, “It’s Chico Time”, which went to number one in England and also produced Ozzy Osbourne’s first number one single titled, “Changes” with Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne.

In 2011, Mark produced Pete Seeger, Jeff Beck, Seal and Billy Bragg tracks for the critically acclaimed Bob Dylan Tribute Album for Amnesty International.

In 2012 Mark released his solo album, The Artist, which is a psychedelic autobiography, with guest stars such as Ringo Starr, Steven Tyler, Harry Nilsson and Joe Perry. His solo album The Hooliganfollowed in 2014.

In 2017 Mark reconnected with Hanson after 20 years, and produced their iTunes top 10 Christmas album, Finally It’s Christmas.

GARY BURR is a Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member from Meriden, CT. He has been an ASCAP, Billboard and NSAI Country Songwriter of the Year and has written fourteen #1 hits. His hits include Juice Newton’s “Love’s Been a Little Bit Hard on Me,” Conway Twitty’s “That’s My Job,” and Wynonna Judd’s “To Be Loved By You,” and his songs have been covered by LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, George Jones, Garth Brooks, Ricky Skaggs and Lynyrd Skynyrd, among many others.

Gary has written and performed with Ringo Starr, had a worldwide hit with the Ricky Martin/Christina Aguilera smash “Nobody Wants to be Lonely,” and topped the charts with Kelly Clarkson’s “Before Your Love” and Clay Aiken’s “This is the Night.” He has toured with Carole King and produced Olivia Newton John, and early in his career spent three years as lead singer of Pure Prairie League.

Gary has released three solo records and is a member of the group Blue Sky Riders along with Kenny Loggins and Nashville singer/songwriter Georgia Middleman. Blue Sky Riders’ first CD, Finally Home, was co-produced by the band with Peter Asher and released in January of 2013, and a limited edition pressing of their second release, Why Not, is available at blueskyriders.com.

MARK MIRANDO started his music career in New Haven Connecticut in the legendary “Dogs,” a group that was well known for their originals as well as carefully chosen covers.

Mark concentrates on original music now, although he’ll pull out a Beatles Gem on occasion – and he’s recorded with no less than Beatle Ringo Starr. Mark played guitar and sang backup vocals on Ringo’ releases Ringo-Rama, Choose Love, and two of Ringo’s greatest hits CDs, Photograph and Ringo 5.1.

He performs the east coast singer songwriter circuit working both solo and also with his band and travels to Nashville to write, record and perform with Nashville’s top songwriters including Georgia Middleman and fellow bandmate Gary Burr.

Marks latest CD, Now That You Mention It, features such great artists as Gary Burr, Georgia middleman, Jim Photogio, Victoria Shaw and Stealing Angles (Caroline Cutbirth, Jennifer Wayne, Tayla Lynn). One of Mark’s song, “What More Do You Want?” was recorded by Kristin Chenoweth and was released on her latest CD titled Some Lessons Learned.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Mike is a multi-instrumentalist out of the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. Coming from a musical family, Mike started out drumming and following in the footsteps of his older brother. His father was an accomplished singer and frontman, and Mike’s sister plays piano. Music was always permeating throughout the household including the likes of Genesis, Yes, ELP, and The Beatles to name a few.

Mike started learning the guitar at age 11, having formal lessons from jazz instructor Bill Johnson. As a teen, many progressive guitarists influencing his playing, including Steve Howe, Allan Holdsworth, John McGlaughlin, Pat Metheny, Robert Fripp. At the same time he kept up his drumming skills.

Mike then got into recording and producing his own music and eventually opened “Eyeball Studios”. A recording studio from where he produced and recorded a slew of local groups and artists. Mike releases his own projects to this day out of this studio. His music is currently available online or at his shows.

Mike attended Rowan University with a Bachelors in Music studying under Denis DiBlasio, and Joe Federico and is currently playing in local bands in the tri-state area. Mike’s “Acoustic Works” show is a show consisting of intricate, original acoustic guitar pieces, with various guitars, mixed in with some favorite cover songs of his. These shows also always feature some special guests. Fans of Steve Howe, Steve Hackett, Tommy Emmanuel, and Pat Metheny would enjoy a show like this. CD’s will be available.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Ben Arnold is reintroducing himself. A songwriter, musician, performer and producer, he remains longtime fixture on the Philadelphia musical landscape. He has toured regularly throughout the country as well as Europe for the better part of the last 25 years. Originally signed to Columbia Records in the 90's, Ben has since released countless label supported and independent records over the decades. Always down for the challenge of re-invention and experimentation, you will see him constantly visiting far-flung points on the musical map.

He has, for years been involved in collaborative projects such as 4 Way Street (Sanctuary/BMG), US Rails (Blue Rose/Europe), the Los Angeles based indie rock band Pistol For Ringo as well as David Uosikinnen's In The Pocket: Essential Songs Of Philadelphia featuring Ben along with members of Philadelphia giants The Hooters, Tommy Conwell and The Soul Survivors. His constant output of new material is a testament to the continual growth of his creative muscles as well as a product of the many worlds in which Ben Arnold operates. His most recent releases "Lost Keys” and “Sunday Morning Meltdown” explore the feel, culture and politics of American music of the 60s-70s through the lens of the questions of the here and now. This year will see Ben touring solo throughout Europe in the fall and then again in Spring with US Rails.

With a crusty, curmudgeonly, but loving take on the world around, Ben Arnold continues to reveal more of himself with every record and live performance. Always a different day, another mood and another view on the human condition. This is not an artist who has simply paid his dues. Ben Arnold is compelled to doing what he does, and does so with one of the most unique, if little known voices in music today.

ABOUT THE SHOW

As a Founding Member of THE MOODY BLUES and a Founding Member of WINGS, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® Inductee DENNY LAINE will be touring America throughout 2019 and 2020 for select SOLO shows. As a premier English songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Denny is best known for his roles as the original Guitarist and Lead Singer of THE MOODY BLUES from 1964 through 1966 and as the co-founder of WINGS with Paul McCartney. Denny was one of three constants in WINGS, along with Paul and Linda McCartney from 1971 through 1981.

The incomparable WINGS album Band on the Run reached #1 in the Billboard® Hot 100 Charts three different times and eventually the album went triple platinum. In the UK, Band on the Run spent 7 weeks at #1 on the UK’s Guinness® Charts of British Hits Singles and went on to be the TOP selling British album of 1974.

In 1975, WINGS won the Grammy® Award for Band on the Run, the single and title track from the 1974 album. With the 1976 release of WINGS at the Speed of Sound, the band had become one of the most successful groups of the decade with a top-grossing tour to follow.

Denny also performed select solo numbers during their concerts on the WINGS Over America Tour and showcased his talents on many songs, most notably Go Now and Time to Hide. With WINGS, Denny enjoyed the biggest commercial and critical successes of his career, including co-writing the hit Mull of Kintyre, which reached #1 in the UK’s Guinness®Charts of British Hits Singles in 1977 and became the UK's highest-selling single until that time.

ABOUT THE SHOW

JEFFREY GAINES

EVERYTHING’S ALRIGHT FOR JEFFREY GAINES

Soulful singer-songwriter-guitarist returns on January 26, 2018 with his first collection of new songs in 15 years

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Throughout his two-and-a-half-decade recording career, Jeffrey Gaines has maintained an impressive standard for soul-searching, introspective lyrics and catchy, uplifting melodies. Since bursting on the scene with his self-titled 1992 debut album, the charismatic singer-songwriter-guitarist has built a beloved body of recordings that’s won him a large and deeply devoted international fan base. Now, after an extended absence from the recording studio, Gaines returns with Alright, his first Omnivore Recordings release and his first set of new studio material since 2003’s Toward the Sun. Street date is January 26, 2018. The new album features ten irresistible examples of the Philadelphia-based artist’s personally charged songcraft, performed with the same effortless exuberance that’s long been a hallmark of Gaines’ artful recordings and his dazzling live performances.

Recorded in Los Angeles with producer/multi-instrumentalist Chris Price (whose production resume includes acclaimed recent comeback efforts by Emitt Rhodes and Linda Perhacs, as well as his own widely celebrated second solo effort, Stop Talking), Alright features an all-star studio band consisting of guitarist Val McCallum (Jackson Browne, Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams), bassist Davey Faragher (Elvis Costello, Cracker, John Hiatt), and drummer Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello, Squeeze, Elliott Smith), who also record on their own as Jackshit. Alright vibrates with positivity and enthusiasm, lending an unmistakable immediacy to such effervescent new Gaines originals as “Feel Alright,” “Firefly Hollow,” “Seems to Me” and “Frowned Upon.” The new songs showcase Gaines; sublime melodic gifts, his vivid lyrical insight and ingratiating performing skills, while drawing strength from the unmistakable chemistry of the studio team, which cut all of the album’s backing tracks in a marathon three-day session. “The whole experience of making this album was just a joy from beginning to end,” Gaines asserts. “We didn’t have a lot of time, so there was no fooling around. We just went in and knocked it out. Everybody played great, so it was an inspiring situation. The musicians have similar influences to me, so we were all on the same page, and I picked the songs I thought would suit this group of musicians. It was cool to have a structure, but at the same time it was also loose and organic.”

“Chris and I have a lot of shared interests, so that definitely helped,” he continues. “And I hadreally wanted to work with the Jackshit guys. Val McCallum had played guitar on my album Towards the Sun, and I wanted to work with him again and I love to record with rhythm sections that already play together, which Davey and Pete do, so they’ve already got the non-verbal communication going. I coudn’t be prouder to be involved in the making of this album,” Chris Price adds. “We got a raw, immediate sound thanks to the incredible musicianship and killer vocal performances.
