In 1902, Victor introduced seven more machines, the Monarch Jr., Monarch Special, Type P (Premium), Type R (Royal), Victor II, Victor III and Victor IV. Over the next three years, improvements were constantly made to the newest Victor products, including:
1903 - Type D, Type Z, Victor V
1904 - Victor VI
1905 - Victor I
There were many name changes for machines over the years, for example Type R became Type Z, and then the Victor I. Sales expanded from about to 7,500 record players in 1901 to around 65,500 in 1905. an almost 800% increase in just 4 years! In the ad to the right, it is important to note that these record players were referred to as Instruments.
